This Africa Cruise Safari begins in subtropical Durban in Kwazulu-Natal.
After checking into Durban’s Maharani Hotel overlooking the Indian Ocean, enjoy a day of relaxation.
The following morning you will be collected from your hotel and taken by road into Zululand on your way to the incredible St. Lucia.
On arrival, you will begin your two-day stay with a two-hour Boat cruise on the St. Lucia Estuary. Get up close to the resident Hippos and Nile Crocodiles basking on the banks of the estuary. The estuary is home to over 800 Hippos and 1200 Nile Crocodiles. The magnificent birdlife includes over 450 species along with the fabled African Fish Eagle. Enjoy your evening meal at a local restaurant before enjoying your first night in the African Bush.
The following day you will be collected nice and early (5:00 am) as you depart for the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve. Here you will have the opportunity to see Africa’s famed Big Five, plus Cheetah and Wild Dogs. Your Game Ranger knows what your expectations and with years of experience in the reserve, they will go out of their way to ensure one of the most memorable days of your life. Both breakfast and lunch will be served in the African bush. In the afternoon you will be driven back to your hotel in Durban hotel for a further one night stay Before boarding the MSC Orchestra.
