Carnival Splendor is a Concordia-class cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. She is the only Concordia-class ship in the Carnival fleet and the sole ship of her namesake class, the Splendor class.

Carnival Splendor is a big vessel with a huge personality -- and it sets itself apart from the Carnival pack in grand style. Splendor is designed around the loosely realised theme of "splendid things". For many the decor could be a little jarring if not overwhelming! The 113,300-tonne Splendor marks its own class of vessel for Carnival, basically a larger version of the ships from the line's earlier Conquest Class. One of Splendor's most impressive features is its expansive spa, among the most elaborate in the fleet. Pan-Asian in design, the Cloud 9 Spa spans two decks and includes a state-of-the-art fitness centre that easily rivals any at sea. With more than a dozen lounges and bars, water slides, mini-golf, multiple age-appropriate kids' programs, nonstop activities and a singing wait staff, Splendor makes good on delivering what Carnival passengers have come to expect: fun.

Onboard
Handwashing will be encouraged throughout the ship, with hand sanitiser stations in the busiest areas and outside restaurants. Food service stations will be staffed by crew where possible, and if this can't be done, such as with condiments, there will be crew on hand to prompt guests to wash their hands.
Cleaning
In public areas, such as restaurants, lounges, gyms and casinos, there will be more frequent cleaning. This will involve the sanitation of deck furniture, sports equipment, handrails, tables, chairs etc. At night, there will be deep cleaning and disinfection of public areas with high traffic, including the gym, restaurants, bars and crew areas. In addition, staterooms and suites will be cleaned up to two times per day, and there will be an additional deep clean should guests display flu-like symptoms.
Medical
In the case where guests show flu-like symptoms, there is a medical centre on each ship offering complimentary consultations.

Airlie Beach

Airlie Beach is a coastal locality in the Whitsunday Region of Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Airlie Beach had a population of 1,208 people.

Cairns

The Cairns Esplanade is bordered by the city centre and the Coral Sea and covers 12 hectares of public open space. The jewel in the crown is the 4800-square-metre saltwater lagoon pool with sandy edges and shallow areas for the youngsters. The precinct also includes cafes, restaurants and bars, a huge skate park. Visit Daintree National Park or head to the Kuranda Scenic Railway before enjoying an evening of magical dreamtime by the fireside at the Tjapukai Aboriginal Centre, and don’t forget the crystal-clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef.

Moreton Island

Moreton Island is just off the coast of southeastern Queensland, Australia. The protected sand island is known for its beaches and steep dunes, like Mount Tempest. On the west coast, a dive site features coral and tropical fish around a group of sunken boats called the Tangalooma Wrecks. A dolphin feeding spot is nearby. Humpback whales can be viewed from Cape Moreton, the site of a 19th-century lighthouse.

Port Douglas

The tropical town of Port Douglas, roughly an hour drive north from Cairns, has it all: the aquamarine waters of the Great Barrier Reef, the breathtaking canopy of the Daintree Rain Forest, the crystal creeks of Mossman Gorge. and the palm fringed golden sands of Four Mile Beach. It is the only place on Earth where two World Heritage-listed sites – the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rain-forest.

Sydney

Sydney, with its iconic Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour and of course Bondi beach must rank as one of the worlds most stunning city’s. Enjoy Sydney’s natural beauty, from unspoilt beaches to public gardens and, of course, the sparkling harbour, before discovering its thriving restaurants and markets. Top it off with a trip to the Blue Mountains, a popular excursion among locals.

Willis Island

Willis Island, the only permanently inhabited island in the Coral Sea Islands Territory, an external territory of Australia, is home to an Australian Bureau of Meteorology weather station, usually staffed by four weather observers. My cruise ship, Celebrity Solstice, sailed around this island, talking with the meteorologists by radio. Fascinating out-of-the-way destination.
