Nearby, Southampton City Art Gallery specializes in modern British art. Solent Sky Museum features vintage aircraft like the iconic Spitfire. Tudor House & Garden displays artifacts covering over 800 years of history, including a penny-farthing bike.

Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria. The third largest of the Canary Islands, Grand Canaria is certainly an island of many faces. From the mountains and deserts of the south to the green and tree-filled north. Gran Canaria offers many opportunities for hiking, trekking by horse or on foot, and of course, water sports. Museums, churches, and historic towns are in abundance for the less energetic.

Lanzarote

Timanfaya National Park’s rocky landscape was created by volcanic eruptions in the 1730s. Cueva de los Verdes has caverns formed by an underground river of lava. East-coast resort Puerto del Carmen is home to whitewashed villas, beaches and dive centers.
