Suva is the heart of Fiji, home to half of the country’s urban population and the largest city in the South Pacific. It's a lush green city on a hilly peninsula, that gets more than its fair share of rain, and has a vibrant cultural scene.
Dravuni Island Fiji is one of the most magnificent of all the South Pacific Islands, and that’s saying something. Dravuni Island is in the middle of the Great Astrolobe Reef – one of the best coral reefs in the world – south of Fiji’s main island. Dravuni Island is home to about 150 people, who love visitors and are always happy to show their tropical paradise off. With a Dravuni Island cruise, you can while away the hours with a swim and snorkel, or spend the day enjoying the white sand on the immaculate South Pacific Island beaches.
Lautoka. Take the ferry to the nearby Mamanuca Islands, and relax in the turquoise waters under coconut palms; don't forget to bring your snorkeling gear. Or stay inland: Find rejuvenating mud baths at the Sabeto Hot Springs, and explore waterfalls and mountain streams at Koroyanitu National Heritage Park.
Savusavu. Tucked within the Savusavu Bay in the Province of Cakaudrove is the cruise port of Savusavu, Fiji. Known as Fiji's "hidden paradise," this town of around 3,400 residents is on the southern coast of Figi's northern Vanua Levu Island, across the harbor from Nawi Island. Savusavu was originally established as a trade center for wood and seafood and is still has a busy copra mill (which is used to harvest the dried meat or kernels of coconuts). Diving is one of the most popular pastimes here, with a number of day tours available to take you to the undersea wonders of Fiji (even if you've never gone diving before). A favorite is the shark diving expeditions, where you can get fairly close to these incredible creatures. The Nakawaga Waterfall is a hidden gem within the hidden paradise. Either go on your own or take a guide and prepare to enjoy a refreshing "shower" after your walk. There's a nearby village where you can get handcrafted souvenirs afterward.

Vanuatu South Pacific. Vanuatu's energetic capital, you'll be greeted by friendly Bislama-speaking locals and street-side markets. Walk around the center of town – you'll see a touch of French influence still remains in the form of bistros and murals. Cruise to Port Vila to explore the hidden waterfalls of the Mele Cascades tucked away in the Mele village rainforest with plenty of gently sloping hiking trails. Check out Mama's Market, the cultural hub of Vanuatu, where you can sample local bananas or shop for traditional island handicrafts. Or take the 10-minute boat ride out to Pele Island: Here, you'll find picturesque beaches shaded by palm trees overlooking turquoise waters that are prime for snorkeling.
Noumea. From spectacular white sandy beaches to well-preserved historic buildings with a beautiful French feel. Nouméa is the capital of the South Pacific archipelago and overseas French territory New Caledonia. Situated on the main island, Grand Terre, it's known for its beaches and its blend of French and native Kanak influences.
