Corfu is a lush and sun-drenched island with a long and colourful history – it has been ruled by the Romans, the Venetians, the French and the English before it was united with Greece in 1864. The Town boasts 2 imposing Venetian fortresses, features winding medieval lanes, a French-style arcade and the grand Palace of St. Michael and St. George along with an esplanade lavishly planted by the French during the Napoleonic Wars, and an English cricket pitch.
Dubrovnik. Filled with ancient stone buildings, narrow cobbled streets, and fortified ramparts rising above red-tiled rooftops. Stradun is the city's focal point and main artery. Messina was rebuilt after the 1908 earthquake. The Piazza Domo is Messina’s most popular attraction. A monument to the immaculate Madonna dating back to the Byzantine Empire. Further attractions include The Regional Museum of Messina which holds significant paintings by Caravaggio, and the Museum of Popular Culture and Music.
Naples. Under the shadow of Vesuvius, Naples is best known for its medieval and Baroque architecture. With Pompeii on its doorstep and as many churches as Rome, there's a lot to see in this city on the Bay of Naples. Sip a glass of Lacryma Christi wine from the slopes of Vesuvius or shop on Via San Gregorio Armeno. Or simply relax with a Margherita pizza at one of the many piazza cafés.
Florence, the capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. One of its most iconic sights is the Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome engineered by Brunelleschi and a bell tower by Giotto.
