Portofino
Portofino is in the province of Genoa, on the Italian Riviera. Both a fishing village and a luxury resort. It is famous for its historical association with the rich and famous. Portofino was originally named Portus Delphini due to the abundance of dolphins and whales found in its blue waters. It is a diver’s haven of red coral and fish by the millions. Ajaccio Corsica is the capital of Corsica, a French island in the Mediterranean Sea. A port city on the rugged isle's western coast, it was the birthplace of French Emperor Napoléon Bonaparte in 1769. His ancestral home, Maison Bonaparte, is now a museum displaying family heirlooms. The baroque, 16th-century Notre-Dame Cathedral, where Napoléon was baptized, contains paintings by Delacroix and Tintoretto.
