La Coruna. The site of the fabled, ancient Tower of Hercules lighthouse. Which has been operating since the second century AD. The promenade runs along the city’s headland and passes many of its most interesting sights.

Porto.  A charming, historic city surrounded by narrow winding cobbled streets. Visit the historic area of Ribera, classified as a World Heritage Site in 1996. For an insight into the local history by walking through ‘a living museum’ featuring architectural contrasts, traditional cafes, beautiful buildings, bars, and restaurants.

Other landmarks include the World Heritage Sites of Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery, both built-in Lisbon's native Manueline architectural style.

Day 6
20 Oct 2022
Seville

Seville is very much an “unsung” city on the Southern tip of Spain. Known for its laid-back attitude to life, outstanding seafood, and its sun-drenched atmospheric streets. The Alcazar, the Seville Cathedral, and the Archivo de Indias are World Heritage sites. Walk its narrow-cobbled streets bathed in centuries of Andalucian sunshine where the elegant mirador-fronted facades painted in pastel shades take you back to days long gone.

Day 7
21 Oct 2022
Malaga

Malaga. The Spanish port of Malaga stands out as a bustling destination with its own unique character. Rising high above the city with spectacular views, are the ruins of the 14th-century Moorish castle. Its most famous son Pablo Picasso is recognized with a history of the artist’s life at the city’s fascinating Picasso Foundation.

Day 8
22 Oct 2022
Alicante

Alicante is a multi-faceted city. Constantly changing around every corner as you stroll around. Its port is similar to most other Spanish ports. The Playa del Postiguet is an expanse of soft creamy sand with an ample supply “to rent” sun loungers, parasols, cabana beds, beach volleyball courts, and ocean-view bars. Whilst the Explanada de Espana is a perfectly straight street of waterside restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and the odd craft stall.

Day 9
23 Oct 2022
Barcelona

Barcelona. Towering temple columns, ancient city walls, and subterranean stone corridors provide a window into Roman-era Barcino.  Take a stroll through the shadowy lanes of the Gothic quarter, past tranquil plazas and soaring 14th-century cathedrals. In other parts of town bloom the sculptural masterpieces of Modernisme, a mix of ingenious and whimsical creations by Gaudí and his Catalan architectural contemporaries.

Day 10

Monte Carlo

The tiny Principality of Monaco is home to the rich and famous in this millionaire’s enclave.
