Cunard Covid-19 safety measures
Before Cruising
As well as testing negative for coronavirus, other pre-cruise measures include a health declaration which will be reviewed at embarkation and a temperature check. At the cruise terminal guests will be required to follow social distancing guidance and wear facemasks. Crew will also have their health monitored before and during cruises.Onboard
Onboard each ship, all areas including the spa, salon and pools will be open, and restaurants will be adapted including no self-service buffets, pre-booked tables and dining only in the group you're travelling with. While social distancing must be observed, guests can also link their bookings with friends and family onboard to form a group up to the maximum number allowed by the UK government at the time of departure.Cleaning
In addition to already rigorous onboard hygiene, cleaning will be even more frequent, including in staterooms and suites, using products which are known to fight coronavirus. To encourage frequent hand washing there will also be more hand sanitiser stations throughout the ships.Ashore
When it comes to heading ashore, shore excursions will be organised by Cunard to ensure that they adhere to local and onboard guidance. Before reboarding, guests may be required to have their temperature checked.Medical
Due to industry procedures, Cunard will no longer be able to accept guests onboard who need supplementary oxygen, including through an oxygen concentrator, mechanical ventilatory support except for overnight CPAP for sleep apnoea, or dialysis. In addition, guests who have had a case or suspected case of COVID-19, been in contact with someone with a case or suspected case of COVID-19, or have been asked to isolate by Track and Trace within 14 days of departure will not be able to board.Before boarding, guests must complete a health questionnaire and undergo a temperature check, while luggage will be sanitised prior to being unloaded.
At the end of the cruise, guests must complete a passenger locator form for the UK government track and trace initiative.

Barcelona
Barcelona combines everything that is most charming about Mediterranean cities – a relaxed pace, months of endless sunshine, unbeatable food – with the cultural and design sophistication of almost any city in the northern hemisphere. Its patchwork of architectural styles displays dark, Gothic façades next to the harlequin buildings of the Modernistas and the skyline-piercing constructions of Jean Nouvel or Herzog and de Meuron, and a day spent admiring them can be topped off with a sun-downer on one of the city’s seven beaches before dinner at any number of Michelin-starred gastronomic temples or humble, family-run tapas bars.
Cadiz
Cadiz. Positioned on a narrow spit of land jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean, Cadiz has been the home of the Spanish navy since the 18th century. Founded 3000 years ago by the Phoenicians, Cadiz is the oldest city in Western Europe. The beautiful Gothic Cathedral of La Giralda can be found in the Jewish quarter of Santa Cruz which is renowned for its array of whitewashed house and scented Bougainvillea which seems to grow everywhere. In the new town can be found the ultra-modern “City of Arts and Sciences” which is certainly worth a visit.
Cartagena, Spain
The port of Cartagena, in the Mediterranean's Costa Cálida, has been prized since Carthaginian times. Thanks to its strategic position on the Murcia coast, it has been inhabited by several cultures which have left their mark on its artistic heritage. A tour of the place and its museums will draw us into the history of a city closely tied to the sea.
Gibraltar
Gibraltar. The Rock of Gibraltar crouches guard like, protecting the entrance to the Mediterranean from unwelcome visitors. Many countries have fought for control of this passage between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, resulting in a vibrant cultural melting pot. Narrow steep lanes are busy with English tourists, veiled Moroccan women in caftans, and Spanish residents. Stroll below the white cliffs among a profusion of palm, pine, and cypress. Go below to Gibraltar’s caves, or up above to see the Rock’s Barbary apes.
La Spezia
Surrounded by coastal villages and rural countryside. A busy, bustling city which offers good-value restaurants and some renowned museums. The colourful fishing villages of Cinque Terre are easily to get to by train or you can walk along the coastal path enjoying a stunning view of the sea.
Southampton
Southampton is a port city on England’s south coast. It’s home to the SeaCity Museum, with an interactive model of the Titanic, which departed from Southampton in 1912. Nearby, Southampton City Art Gallery specialises in modern British art. Solent Sky Museum features vintage aircraft like the iconic Spitfire. Tudor House & Garden displays artifacts covering over 800 years of history, including a penny-farthing bike
