YOUR HOLIDAY HOME AT SEA

Ovation of the Seas is the third ground-breaking ship to join Royal Caribbean's Quantum class. There are plenty of similarities with its two sister ships -- Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas -- including the thrilling RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator, the North Star capsule that transports passengers 90 metres (300 feet) above sea level for bird's-eye views, bumper cars, trapeze classes, world-class entertainment and -- in short -- nonstop fun. Making its debut on Ovation is the colourful Kung Fu Panda Noodle Shop (replacing Johnny Rockets), plus a new Asian food station in the Windjammer Marketplace buffet restaurant. There is also an enlarged casino, and shops in the Royal Esplanade have been stocked with more high-end designer goods and Asian cosmetic brands.

It includes the boutique towns of Opua, Paihia, Russell, and Kerikeri.

Auckland

Auckland.  The central city lies across an isthmus straddling the Pacific Ocean on its east and the Tasman Sea on its west. The buzz of a city is defined by its nautical location. Seagulls, sparrows, and the native tui bird occupy the pohutukawa trees above the beach, competing with the sound of young people singing and playing an impromptu game of touch rugby.

The international date line (IDL) is an imaginary line that runs along the Earth's surface from the North Pole to the South Pole in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. When you cross it, you either gain or lose a day depending on which way you are traveling. If you are traveling westward, you gain a day, and if you are traveling eastward, you lose a day.

Day 16
23 Apr 2024
Moorea

Moorea is a South Pacific island, part of French Polynesia's Society Islands archipelago. It's known for its jagged volcanic mountains and sandy beaches. In the north, Mount Rotui overlooks picturesque Ōpūnohu Bay and the settlements around Cook's Bay. Inland, hiking trails wind through rainforests on the slopes of Mount Tohivea. The Belvedere Lookout has panoramic views of the island’s peaks and Tahiti beyond.

Day 17
24 Apr 2024
Papeete, Tahiti

Papeete. Crowned by a circle of majestic peaks, the Island of Tahiti, the largest island in  French Polynesia, towers over the South Pacific ocean like a proud and royal Queen. The mountainous interior of Tahiti Island is adorned with mystical valleys, clear streams, and high waterfalls. Most of the island’s population resides near the shore, leaving the interior of the island feeling almost untouched and ancient, despite such proximity to the bustling capital of Papeete.

Day 18
25 Apr 2024
Raiatea

Raiatea, French Polynesia. The second largest of the Society Islands, after Tahiti, but much less visited than its neighboring Bora Bora. The island is widely regarded as the "center" of the eastern islands in ancient Polynesia and it is likely that the organized migrations to the Hawaiian Islands, New Zealand, and other parts of East Polynesia started at Raiatea.
