P&O Azura. Mediterranean Adventure from Valletta

South Africa-Seychelles Cruise from Dubai. This 19-night luxury cruise begins in Dubai aboard the Norwegian Jade on December 2nd, 2022, and will immerse you in exotic lands, rich cultures, and incredible vistas on this extended itinerary. The colours and contrasts of Africa and the beauty of the Indian Ocean Islands await you.  Enjoy vibrant cities such as Cape Town watched over by the iconic plane of Table Mountain, Cape Town is, without doubt, one of the world’s most beautiful cities. A blend of spectacular mountain scenery, multiculturalism, and relaxed ocean charm awaits in the Mother City, where you can venture out to rolling vineyards, dine in laid-back sea suburbs, or spend days exploring the cool urban culture. Cape Town’s natural splendour fully reveals itself as the cable car rears sharply to the top of Table Mountain. Durban, what is it about South Africa’s third most popular city that draws people so much? Is it the vibrant waterfront, complete with street performers and sand artists? Is it the melting pot of ethnicity, with all cultures from Zulu to Indian finding a home here? Is it the laid-back lifestyle that has locals calling it simply “Durbs”?  Then onto the magnificent coastal beaches in Richard’s Bay, considered as the official gateway to Zululand, Richard’s Bay has morphed from being a tiny fishing village into a bustling harbour town. Today, the 30 km2 lagoon is the major port of the region (and also the deepest in Africa), a growth spurred on by the significant mineral deposits, wonderful wetland scenery, unspoiled beaches, and game reserves.  Then head north for beautiful inland lakes in marvelous Madagascar with calls at Antisiranana and Nosy Be. Few places on Earth can claim to have been as blessed by nature as Mahe. Set in the remote Seychelles archipelago over 1,500 kilometers east of Mombasa, Mahe is the largest of the 115 islands and is home to so many stunning attractions you won’t know where to begin. For many, Seychelles is the destination of a lifetime. Cerulean seas, miles and miles of beach, lush, tropical jungle, and surreal, natural beauty as far as the eye can see. . You’ll hear the call of the wild every day, as you connect deeply to the natural wonders of these breathtaking lands. The journey from Richards Bay to the spectacular Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park and its many traditional Zulu villages where you can learn the history of the people and perhaps see elephants, lions, and more roaming the grasslands. In Port Louis, discover the city’s diverse architecture and colonial roots on a guided tour or get a glimpse of daily life (and browse local goods) at the vibrant Central Market. Then uncover a paradise unlike any other in La Digue – hiking trails winding through untouched jungles, rock formations rising from tranquil crystal-clear waters, and soft sands hugging tiny inlets and sheltered coves.

MSC Virtuosa Arabian Cruise with Palm Hotel Stay Dubai

NCL Jade. Join the Jade on this extraordinary luxury cruise that takes in the best of Cape Town and Namibia.

The scenery you’ll witness in Africa is as wild and diverse as the creatures that freely roam. Take a day safari from Richards Bay or visit Addo Elephant National Park near Port Elizabeth. In the west, explore world-class vineyards in the fertile Cape Winelands and hang out with adorable African penguins at Cape Town’s Boulder Beach. Every port provides unforgettable adventures, and every one of our ships promises marvelous days at sea. Embark on an extraordinary voyage to the diverse shores of Africa and come face-to-face with white rhinos, elephants, cheetahs, lions, zebras, and more in an Open Game Drive Safari. Hluhluwe Game Reserve is one of the oldest proclaimed reserves in Africa, and only an hour away from Richards Bay. This once-in-a-lifetime experience awaits on your next cruise to Africa. Admire Walvis Bay, which, thanks to its rich marine life, is one of the places of most outstanding natural beauty in Namibia. Its gourmet delights are not to be missed either. Before leaving the port you have to eat homegrown Walvis Bay oysters in one of the many restaurants that have sprung up in recent years. Today, maybe it’s harder to see whales in these waters but the highlight of Walvis Bay (aka Whales Bay) is still its natural lagoon with its abundance of seabirds, including flamingos and pelicans, which are joined every year by thousands of migratory birds.
As this is an area of outstanding natural beauty, there are many options for spending your time away from the ship. Due north of Walvis Bay along a coast road, the Atlantic harbour town of Swakopmund is just waiting to be discovered.

Offering a vivid reminder of Namibia’s colonial past, the older architecture is Germanic in style, German is widely spoken and the restaurants delight in serving bratwurst. There’s even an annual Oktoberfest, a jolly knees-up featuring locally brewed lager and Bavarian-style bands in lederhosen. Swakopmund is a safari and backpacker hub with some great shops selling souvenirs including beautiful, locally made jewellery, crafts, and curios.
This is also Namibia’s extreme sports capital, with several operators offering quad-biking, dune buggy racing, and sandboarding. Swakopmund and Walvis Bay are the southern point of the Skeleton Coast where, on nature trails across the sands and gravel plains, you can observe ancient desert-adapted plant species such as Welwitschia (an endemic, trunkless tree that sags raggedly on the ground and can live for over 2500 years), lithops and delicate lichens.
