Queen Victoria Singapore to Dubai 22 March 2023

African Adventure 19 Nights 02 December 2022. South Africa-Seychelles Cruise from Dubai. This 19-night luxury cruise begins in Dubai aboard the Norwegian Jade on December 2nd, 2022, and will immerse you in exotic lands, rich cultures, and incredible vistas on this extended itinerary. The colors and contrasts of Africa and the beauty of the Indian Ocean Islands await you.  Enjoy vibrant cities such as Cape Town watched over by the iconic plane of Table Mountain, Cape Town is, without doubt, one of the world’s most beautiful cities. A blend of spectacular mountain scenery, multiculturalism, and relaxed ocean charm awaits in the Mother City, where you can venture out to rolling vineyards, dine in laid-back sea suburbs, or spend days exploring the cool urban culture. Cape Town’s natural splendor fully reveals itself as the cable car rears sharply to the top of Table Mountain. Durban, what is it about South Africa’s third most popular city that draws people so much? Is it the vibrant waterfront, complete with street performers and sand artists? Is it the melting pot of ethnicity, with all cultures from Zulu to Indian finding a home here? Is it the laid-back lifestyle that has locals calling it simply “Durbs”?  Then onto the magnificent coastal beaches in Richard’s Bay, considered as the official gateway to Zululand, Richard’s Bay has morphed from being a tiny fishing village into a bustling harbor town. Today, the 30 km2 lagoon is the major port of the region (and also the deepest in Africa), a growth spurred on by the significant mineral deposits, wonderful wetland scenery, unspoiled beaches, and game reserves.  Then head north for beautiful inland lakes in marvelous Madagascar with calls at Antisiranana and Nosy Be. Few places on Earth can claim to have been as blessed by nature as Mahe. Set in the remote Seychelles archipelago over 1,500 kilometers east of Mombasa, Mahe is the largest of the 115 islands and is home to so many stunning attractions you won’t know where to begin. For many, Seychelles is the destination of a lifetime. Cerulean seas, miles and miles of beach, lush, tropical jungle, and surreal, natural beauty as far as the eye can see. . You’ll hear the call of the wild every day, as you connect deeply to the natural wonders of these breathtaking lands. The journey from Richards Bay to the spectacular Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park and its many traditional Zulu villages where you can learn the history of the people and perhaps see elephants, lions, and more roaming the grasslands. In Port Louis, discover the city’s diverse architecture and colonial roots on a guided tour or get a glimpse of daily life (and browse local goods) at the vibrant Central Market. Then uncover a paradise unlike any other in La Digue – hiking trails winding through untouched jungles, rock formations rising from tranquil crystal-clear waters, and soft sands hugging tiny inlets and sheltered coves. A never-to-be-forgotten African Adventure.

And head to Il Goccetto for good wine.” – By chefs Alessandro Miocchi and Giuseppe Lo Iudice of restaurant Retrobottega (located in Via della Stelletta, just behind Piazza Navona).

Gibot is a boutique for every price range, stocking cool emerging labels to top luxury designers.

Five unique sights to see in Rome.

Of course, you’ll want to pop by the Colosseum and the Forum, but there’s so much more to see in Rome if you step off the beaten path just a bit. Here are five hidden gems that the locals love…

  1. Villa Borghese
Just outside the regular tourist routes, but easily walkable from the city centre, Villa Borghese is also known as the ‘park of museums’. Here, you’ll find Galleria Borghese, after which the park is named, plus a lake, fountains, and a zoo.
  2. Janiculum Hill
A beautiful area often missed by travel guides, Janiculum Hill is located south of Vatican City. It can be reached on foot, albeit with a bit of a climb, but the views are worth it. A startlingly quiet area, it’s the perfect way to escape the city.
  3. Antica Farmacia della Scala
The upper floor of Farmacia Santa Maria della Scala takes you back to the 17th century when it was the pharmacy of the Papal Court. Still run by Carmelite monks, they guide you through the space graced with hand-labeled bottles and frescoed ceilings.
  4. Quartiere Coppedè
Find a hidden world of fairy tale beauty in Coppedè, a small district in Rome. Tucked behind the main streets of Quartiere Trieste, this curious and ornate district is obscured from the view of passers-by, while the architecture is entirely ‘other’.
  5. Basilica di Santo Stefano Rotondo al Celio
There are more than 900 churches in Rome, but a trip to Santo Stefano Rotondo feels like you’re time-traveling. Famous for its 16th-century graphic frescoes, it’s hidden on Via di Santo Stefano Rotondo and easy to miss.

MSC Preziosa.  Rio de Janeiro to Southampton Cruise. Famous for its colorful carnival and fabulous beaches, as well as the dramatic entry to its cruise port, Rio de Janeiro in the south-eastern corner of Brazil has much more to offer than sun and sand. You can enjoy breathtaking views from the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain (the cable car journey up is even more spectacular!), or take a taxi up Corcovado Mountain in the Parque Nacional de Tijuca to view the city’s most famous landmark, the 30 meter-high statue of Christ the Redeemer. Make time, too, to visit Praca Floriano, the vast square at the heart of the city which is home to its exquisite Teatro Municipal opera house and close to the city’s best art gallery, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. Floriana Square is also the place to catch Rio’s social life at its best – grab a beer at a pavement cafe and tap your feet to the rhythms of the Samba before exploring the shops along the 19th century Rua da Carioca. On your cruise to Southampton enjoy the facilities of MSC Preziosa.
