New Cruise Ships for 2019/20 Launch

2019  and beyond will see the launch of a host of new cruise ships, which reflects the extraordinary growth in the cruise holiday market. Obviously as none of the new ships have launched at the time of writing this Blog I cannot give you a revue with the exception of the Bellissima and the Celebrity  The Bellissima launched in March 2019 and the Celebrity in November of 2018. I spent a night on board the Bellissima in Southampton in March just prior to her maiden voyage which was not all smooth sailing. Freak storms in the English Channel caused havoc on board and a substantial amount of damage. which fortunately the passengers escaped from unscathed.

Bellissima

MSC Bellissima is packed full of adventurous activities, cutting-edge technology, an incredible choice of restaurants and bars and dazzling entertainment to suit all age groups.

Innovative MSC for Me technology provides an enhanced onboard experience, connecting you to your fellow guests, the crew and the ship itself. The two-deck inside promenade features a spectacular 80-metre-long LED dome, and is lined with places to shop, eat and drink. You’ll be impressed with an enticing choice of 12 dining venues, 20 bars and lounges, dazzling entertainment including Cirque du Soleil and adventurous activities and fun for all the family. The two days I spent on board was impressive, the choice of restaurants was first class. This is a ship which is ideally suited for families but perhaps not for those who prefer something a little quieter!
