Fly to Rome. When flying to Rome, you will most likely land at the Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO), located around 30 minutes from the city center. From there, you can take a taxi or private transfer to your hotel or cruise terminal. Rome is a city full of history and culture, so be sure to visit the Colosseum, Vatican City, and the Pantheon.
