Bahamas. White sand beaches, rainbow-painted towns, wildlife-stuffed reefs — the Bahamas is so beautiful, it’s almost a cliché. Its sand-fringed islands and cays, cast across the Atlantic Ocean due south of Florida, are the paragon of paradise. There are many misconceptions: that it’s nothing but beaches, that it’s a bit boring, that it’s a billionaire’s playground (OK, the last one is true). But the country is a lot more diverse than people give it credit for: it’s home to world-class marine adventures, Insta-perfect historic towns, and epic seafood.
