Rottnest Island is one of the most popular day trips from Perth for both locals and tourists. It’s about 20 kms (12 miles) from Fremantle or about a 25-minute ferry ride. You can leave right from Fremantle using a ferry company like Rottnest Express for about $60 AUD including round-trip transport and a bike rental.
